I think it’s important to know that everybody has different experiences in life. And then you can learn from those different viewpoints.” — Irma Rodriguez, Partnership Coordination Lead in the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters

“I just like to get to know people. I actually consider myself an introvert — although I tell that to people sometimes and they say, no, you’re not an introvert. But I am! I do enjoy my quiet time. But I also like to know what other people are doing. To meet new people, and not just stay in my little bubble. It gives me an opportunity to learn something new when I’m around different people. Maybe it’s because I’m from Puerto Rico, but I love learning about other cultures and what they do that’s different from us. I just find that fascinating.

“It teaches you to see the point of view of other people. If you’re just looking at things from your own point of view and not appreciating other people’s point of view, you’re not going to grow. I think it’s important to know that everybody has different experiences in life. And then you can learn from those different viewpoints.”
