The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the JPL Tellus Level-4 GRACE and GRACE-FO Mascon Solution RL06Mv2 Timeseries datasets.

This release includes three timeseries datasets derived from both the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and GRACE Follow-On (GRACE-FO) missions: Antarctica Ice Mass, Greenland Ice Mass, and Ocean Mass.  These timeseries are derived from the JPL Tellus Mascon Solution RL06Mv2 CRI dataset (https://doi.org/10.5067/TEMSC-3JC62). All three files are in ASCII format, covering the timespan from April 2002 to November 2019.  As GRACE-FO data collection continues, these timeseries will be updated on a regular basis. For detailed information about the Mascon solution RL06Mv2 datasets, please see the data release announcement at https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/announcements/2019-12-05_JPL_GRACE_GRACE-FO_Mascon_RL06M_v2_Datasets_Release.

The GRACE and GRACE-FO missions are a joint partnership between NASA and the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). Both missions use twin satellites to accurately map variations in the Earth's gravity field and surface mass distribution. GRACE-FO is designed as a successor to the GRACE mission. Detailed information regarding the GRACE and GRACE-FO missions are available from the project GRACE and GRACE-FO websites and also the PO.DAAC GRACE and GRACE-FO mission webpages.

The datasets are described and discoverable via the PO.DAAC dataset information pages.  The dataset information pages also provide access to the technical documentation, the GRACE/GRACE-FO Mascon documents, and guidance on how to cite the data.
